Neumann KM184 Microphone
Another fantastic mic from the legendary Neumann company. I’ve been using this omni-pattern condenser in live scenarios for years and all I can say is that if I could afford it, I would buy several.
Sounds great on stringed instruments such as acoustic guitars or anything else that requires clarity and detail – and of course these can be used for overhead miking of cymbals etc.
The Neumann name is synonymous with quality and prestige in sound. Recording studios the world over use Neumann microphones – and if you see the Neumann logo, you know that they are serious about sound.
They are pricey but if you can stretch it, I would go for a matched pair.
